TCU Begins Play at Clover Cup

MESA, Ariz. -- The TCU women's golf team is seventh after Friday's opening round of the Clover Cup.
The Horned Frogs shot a 310 and are just four strokes out of a top-four position.
Kortnie Maxoutopoulis led TCU with a 75, including a pair of birdies, and is tied for 17th individually.
Fellow TCU senior Alexandra Bonetti birdied her final hole and shot par on 12 holes in posting a 76. She is tied for 23rd.
Emmy Martin recorded par on her opening four holes en route to a 79 for the Horned Frogs.
With a 7-over 295, Arizona State holds a 1-stroke lead over host and No. 27 Notre Dame. Oklahoma is 2 shots back at 297.
The Sun Devils' Monica Vaughn is the individual leader with a 3-under 69, one shot ahead of East Carolina's Lisa Pettersson.
