TCU Moves into Top Five in Arizona

MESA, Ariz. -- Kortnie Maxoutopoulis and Chaney Uhles both carded 73s as TCU moved into a tie for fifth place after Saturday's second round of the Clover Cup.
The Horned Frogs' 301 was a 9-stroke improvement from Friday's 310. TCU is just one shot behind SMU for fourth place.
Maxoutopoulis was 1 under over her final 13 holes, recording a pair of birdies and shooting par on 11 holes. The senior from Pleasanton, Calif., is 10th individually. Her 4-over 148 is eight strokes behind leaders Monica Vaughn of Arizona State and Oklahoma's Hannah Wood.
Uhles, a senior and Fort Worth native, birdied her opening and final holes of the day in lowering her score by nine shots from Friday. She totaled a team-high three birdies on the day.
Kelly McGovern birdied her final hole en route to a 77 for the Horned Frogs, while Alexandra Bonetti and Emmy Martin both shot a 78.
With a 14-over 590, Arizona State is atop the leaderboard by seven strokes over Notre Dame.
