Team Records, Game Notables and Series Information
• TCU is 2-0 on the season while New Orleans dropped its season opener.
• TCU is now 2-0 to open the season for the first time since the 2010-11 season and for just the 12th time in program history.
• TCU will attempt to open the year 3-0 for just seventh time in program history when it travels to SMU on Wednesday night.
• TCU won the first ever meeting between the Frogs and Privateers.
Team Notes
• TCU held New Orleans to 12 points in the first half, marking the 10th time in school history that the Frogs held an opponent to 12 points or less in the first half of a game.
• TCU held an opponent under 40 points in a game for the first time since Dec. 22, 2012 when the Horned Frogs held UT Pan American to just 37 points.
• The 36 points scored by New Orleans were tied for the 11th fewest allowed by the Horned Frogs in a game in program history. It was the first time a team was held to 36 points or less since Air Force had 31 on Feb. 22, 2012.
• The 20.0 percent shooting by New Orleans tied for the seventh best defensive effort in program history for the Horned Frogs. It was the eighth time in TCU history that a team has held its opponent to 20.0 percent shooting or less.
• TCU improved to 7-1 under Pebley when holding a team to 59 points or less.
• TCU scored 80 points or more in consecutive games for the second time in the Pebley era and first time since scoring 80 at Kansas and 81 against Oklahoma last year on Jan. 14 and Jan. 17, respectively.
• TCU scored at least 80 points in each of the first two games of the season for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
• TCU has now won eight straight games at home.
• TCU has now won six straight home non-conference games and 17 of its last 18.
• TCU has allowed opponents to shoot a combined 4-of-34 from the field in the first quarter of the first two games of the season.
Individual Notes
• Senior Zahna Medley had a game high 21 points. She added six assists in the game. o Medley's first basket of the day with 5:51 left in the first quarter put her in sole possession of fifth place on the TCU career scoring list.
o Medley had her 27th career 20-point effort as a TCU player.
o Medley had at least five assists in a game for the 34th time in her career and second time this season.
• Senior Destynee Hives-McCray had a TCU career best 10 points.
• Freshman Jordan Moore had her first double-figure scoring game with 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting. She was also 3-of-3 from the free throw line.
• Sophomore Toree Thompson had a TCU career best 13 points, knocking down four three-point field goals.
Coaching Notes
• TCU head coach Raegan Pebley is in her second season at TCU and now holds a 20-14 record as the coach of the Horned Frogs.
• The 36 points by New Orleans marked the best defensive effort for a Pebley team since Dec. 5, 2013 when Fresno State held San Diego Christian to just 28 points.
• TCU is 6-2 in the month of November under Pebley.
• TCU improved to 10-3 before the turner of the calendar year under Pebley.
• TCU improved to 11-5 in non-conference games during the Pebley era.
