No. 10 TCU will break the Schollmaier Arena win streak record with a victory over the Texans
FORT WORTH – No. 10 TCU returns home to face Tarleton State and challenge for the Schollmaier Arena win streak record at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The Horned Frogs have won 27 straight home games dating back to February of 2024 and will break the men's and women's record for consecutive home victories should they triumph over the Texans.
Thursday's ballgame is only the second time the pair of Cross Timbers regional institutions have met on the hardwood. TCU faced Tarleton State in 1978 during its inaugural women's basketball season, when both programs competed in the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW). The Texans completed their four-year reclassification to NCAA Division I in July of 2024.
Beginning with its bout vs. Tarleton State, TCU will play seven of its next nine games at home leading into Big 12 play.
TCU jumped seven spots in The Associated Press poll following its 69-59 win at then-No. 10 NC State on Sunday. The Frogs are also the Big 12's highest-ranked team in the USA Today Sports Coaches Poll at No. 8.

- Scherr has finished with three-plus steals on 24 occasions. She tallied 11 three-steal games as a junior at Kentucky in 2022-23.
- Scherr has connected at a 64 percent clip (9-14) from distance over her last three outings.
