
Duo Headed to Napa Valley

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU men's tennis duo, Nick Chappell and Cameron Norrie, are headed to Napa, Calif., to take part in the Napa Valley Challenger, an USTA Pro Circuit event slated to begin on Saturday.
The Napa Valley 50K Challenger is part of the USTA Men's Professional Pro Circuit Challenger Series and this elite tournament is one of 16 events on the Challenger Pro Circuit series of events in the United States.
Chappell, who earned a preseason and career-high ranking of No. 34, is coming off a 2013-14 campaign where he earned All-Big 12 Singles and Doubles Team honors for the second straight year after posting 21 wins. Chappell was selected for the NCAA singles and doubles championships and scored his biggest upset with a straight-set victory over No. 5 Guillermo Alcorta of Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championships.
Norrie is the second top-10 junior tennis player to sign with TCU this year and checks in as the No. 3 newcomer in the ITA rankings. The Auckland, New Zealand, native has played in the junior events of all four Grand Slams and reached as high as No. 636 in the ATP rankings.
Qualifying singles action will begin at 10 a.m., on Saturday and will continue until Monday when the main draw will begin at the Napa Valley Country Club.
