Four Horned Frogs receive ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition
FORT WORTH – The celebration of standout 2026 season stretched into academia for TCU men's tennis.
Oliver Bonding, Roger Pascual, Kaj Quirijns and Cooper Woestendick were honored ITA Division I Scholar-Athletes. Additionally, the Horned Frogs collectively were named an ITA All-Academic Team.
Eligible players for ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition must have produced a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for the current academic year. All programs with a combined GPA of 3.2 were cited as an ITA All-Academic Team.
TCU has now been recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team for three consecutive seasons.
The four Frogs each received ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition for the first time in their careers.
Pascual, a rising junior from Vinaros, Spain, boasts a 3.81 GPA while pursuing a bachelor of science degree in health and fitness.
Woestendick has maintained a 3.64 GPA across two seasons in Fort Worth. He is majoring in strategic communication.
Quirijns, one of two soon-to-be seniors on the Horned Frogs' roster, is set to complete his bachelor of science degree in communication studies in 2027. The Switzerland native's GPA stands at 3.54.
Bonding enrolled at TCU in January and posted a 3.66 GPA in his first semester.
The quartet helped lead TCU to a fourth straight NCAA semifinal and Big 12 Tournament championship and finish with the No. 4 year-end national ranking. They are four of seven returning letter winners for TCU ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
