Norrie Victorious at Pro Circuit Event

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU men's tennis freshman Cameron Norrie posted a dominant 6-2, 6-2 victory over No. 672 Pavel Krainik of Canada to move into the second round of the main draw of the Futures of Mansfield Men's $15K Pro Circuit event in Mansfield, Texas on Wednesday.
It took less than an hour for Norrie to finish off his opponent and will face the No. 7 seed in the tournament and No. 424 Dennis Novikov of the United States in the second round at the Walnut Creek Country Club.
Norrie was the No. 1 seed in the qualifying portion of the tournament and won three straight matches to earn a berth into the main draw. Norrie is currently ranked No. 689 in the world and has a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 10. The Great Britain native also earned a ITA ranking of No. 3 in the newcomer/freshman poll.
