NEXT UP ON THE TCU DOCKET
* TCU, seeded fourth, begins play nine-team MWC Tournament on Wednesday in Denver, Colo., against fifth-seeded Wyoming. The league tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
LAST TIME OUT FOR TCU AND WYOMING
* TCU closed the regular season with a key overtime victory over the UNLV Lady Rebels on Saturday afternoon at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The Lady Frogs erased a 15-point first half deficit for the second straight game to win 82-77. Ashley Davis drained two free throws with 0.9 seconds left in regulation to force extra time. She led the team in scoring for the third straight game, netting 19 points.
* Wyoming suffered a tough 69-67 home loss to second-seeded Utah on Saturday. Wyoming held a nine-point lead at halftime. Four Cowgirls scored in double figures, led by Jodi Bolerjack's 17 points. A Wyoming win would have vaulted the Lady Frogs into the second seed in the MWC Tournament.
THE TCU-WYOMING SERIES
* Wednesday marks the eighth all-time meeting between Wyoming and TCU and the third this year. The Lady Frogs hold a slight 4-3 advantage in the series after winning 67-59 in Fort Worth on Feb. 8.
* The teams split the 2006 season series, as Wyoming squeaked out a 68-67 victory in Laramie on Jan. 7. TCU had won three straight in the series prior to that game.
* The last six meetings have been determined by an average of 10.3 points per game.
