Hello again! It's been awhile and I feel like everyone out there has become complete strangers. So with that said, let me get you up to speed with what's going on in Lady Frog basketball. We are currently 10-6! YAH!!! It's been a long haul to get to a double-digit winning number, let alone a winning record. As everyone knows, we had some ups and downs (sort of uncharacteristic for Lady Frog basketball), but we are surely on the right track nowadays. Throughout our tough losses, we've picked up a lot of key things that will help us not only become a stronger, more cohesive group, but also enable us to become a successful team.
It was a bit of a rocky start in conference because of the devastating loss to Wyoming. It was a tough opponent that never let up, so Wyoming deserved the win. But, in our last four games, we've been playing some excellent basketball.
The biggest question all year was who would step up and replace Sandora Irvin. Is that even a legitimate question? And if so, is there a possible answer? As I've said before, there's no replacing a phenomenal player like San, but we all can contribute more statistically without having to rely on one individual.
We just came off the longest road trip of the season. WOW!!! Can you spell E-X-H-A-U-S-T-E-D? First, we flew to sunny California to play against a gutsy San Diego State team, and then we were off to the high mountains to face a very disciplined Colorado State team. Now, we are at home facing perhaps the biggest games of the year. On Wednesday, we have an undefeated in conference with BYU and on Saturday, an outstanding Utah team. I hope everyone joins us for these games and helps us PURPLE OUT the DMC!!! GO FROGS!!!
