FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Laura Kurz scored 15 points and Alison Bales added 11 to lead No. 2 Duke to a 92-52 victory over TCU on Tuesday night.
Duke (7-0) held the Lady Frogs (2-5) to 25 percent shooting and outscored TCU 56-25 in the second half. All-American Monique Curry shot 1-for-5 and finished with eight points.
The Blue Devils opened the second half with a 12-3 run, took their first 20-point lead four minutes into the period and extended the lead to 31 on Carrem Gay's layup with 8:33 left.
TCU capitalized on 17 first-half turnovers by Duke, and Jenna Lohses scored on a fastbreak layup and free throw with 59.8 seconds left to pull the Lady Frogs within a point at 28-27. The Blue Devils closed out the first half with an 8-0 run.
