Hello everyone! I am really excited that I have been given the chance to do "Outside the Lines!" It gives me the opportunity to say hello to my family, friends and fans.
I am a sophomore guard from Hobbs, N.M. -- born, raised and proud. It's the home of the Eagles. I absolutely love my hometown, mainly because of the people who are in it. Everyone has always been so supportive and uplifting in my pursuit to play basketball, and I will always be thankful.
I am majoring in communications with a human relations emphasis and minoring in education. I am definitely a people person. I love to meet new people. I enjoy shopping at my mom's expense, eating, hanging out with girlfriends, laughing when things are actually funny, complimenting others, praying daily, smiling at any given opportunity and supporting the rest of TCU athletics -- especially men's golf. I am a firm believer that EVERYTHING happens for a reason.
The most important thing in my life is my faith in God, but not even a centimeter behind is my family. Each night when I count my blessings, I am sure to count them twice. My mother, Tammy, and father Ronald Ross, Sr., both played basketball for the Eagles, as well as my younger sister, Ebony, and my older brother, Ronald, Jr. We have five state championship titles among all of us, making my decision to come to TCU easier because winning is important.
Ronald graduated last year from Texas Tech University, where he was an honor roll student, double major in financial planning and human development, and all-conference, All-America and captain of the Red Raiders basketball team under legendary coach Bobby Knight. He is now playing pro in Italy, and I miss him sooo much!!
Ebony is double majoring in Spanish and nursing, and is Homecoming Queen and in student government this year at Langston University.
Well that is the story of my life in a nutshell. I hope you all feel a little more up close and personal with me and intend on coming out to see the Lady Frogs in action this season. :-)
