Nia Jackson, a former All-Pac 10 player and emerging name in the college basketball coaching ranks, is entering her third year as an assistant women's basketball coach at TCU ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Jackson joined TCU head coach Mark Campbell's staff in April of 2023 after spending the 2022-23 campaign as an assistant coach at Grand Canyon. She previously enjoyed a year-long assistant coaching stint at Boise State. Prior to her tenure with the Broncos, Jackson served alongside Campbell and associate head coach Xavier Lopez for two seasons at Oregon as the Ducks’ director of creativity. A star point guard at Oregon from 2008-2012, Jackson also worked with TCU assistant coach Minyon Moore, the Ducks’ point guard in 2019-20.
“We are thrilled to have Nia on our coaching staff,” Campbell said. “She is a tireless recruiter who has built relationships all across the country. She will work closely with Minyon in developing our guards. Nia is a rising star in the industry, and we are excited to have her with us.”
TCU (2023-Present)
At TCU, Jackson coaches all position groups while working closely with the Horned Frogs guards. She also helps oversee all digital recruiting efforts and collaborates with the women's basketball SID/social media coordinator and creative content leads to develop on-brand projects that cater to the program's vision, including graphic design, photography and videography.
Jackson has helped mentor three All-Big 12 players, two All-Americans and two WNBA Draft picks in her two years on the bench at TCU, including 2025 Big 12 Player of the Year and Olympics bronze medalist Hailey Van Lith. She has also been a vital member of the greatest two-year turnaround in college basketball. With Jackson in tow, TCU won a school record 34 games in 2024-25 en route to a clean sweep of the Big 12 regular season and tournament championships and reached he Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. The Frogs finished an unbeaten 21-0 at home, downed nine ranked opponents and achieved the highest AP Top 25 ranking in TCU basketball history, checking in at No. 6 in the final poll. TCU earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and returned to the Big Dance for the first time in 15 years.
The 2024-25 campaign saw TCU affirm its place among college basketball's most efficient offices. TCU finished as one of only three teams ranking in the top 10 in assists (5th, 696) assist-to-turnover ratio (6th, 1.53) and assists per game (8th, 18.6) in all of D1. The Hroned Frogs dished out at least 20 dimes in nearly half of its games (16-of-38). From behind the arc, TCU reached double figures in 3-pointers in 18 games, the second-most of any team, and was the only squad in the NCAA Tournament field boasting five players with at least 40 makes from distance. Jackson helped coach the nation's third-highest scoring trio in 2024-25 in the form of Van Lith (17.9 ppg), Lisa Leslie Award top-five finalist Sedona Prince (17.6 ppg) and All-Big 12 first teamer Madison Conner (14.6 ppg), who netted a combined 50.1 points per game. She helped mentor Van Lith into the first player to win Big 12 Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year accolades in the same season and saw Conner break her own single-season school record for 3-pointers (127).
An All-Pac-12 first team point guard in 2010, TCU boasted one of the nation's elite backcourts in 2023-24 in large part due to Jackson's skill development at the position. TCU's guards averaged 52.8 points per game over the course of a record-setting 14-0 start to the season. With Jackson lending her efforts to TCU's offensive strategy, the Horned Frogs averaged 81 points per game, led the nation in 3-point percentage differential (.170) and were third among all D1 programs in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.81) three games into conference play.
Individually, Jackson coached Conner to All-Big 12 second team accolades and saw the 5-11 sharpshooter set the NCAA record for most 3-pointers in a 10-game stretch to start a season (52) and knock down a then-school record 100 threes. Jackson's efforts also saw Jaden Owens rank in the top-five nationally in assists (3rd, 115) and assist-to-turnover ratio (5th, 2.67) through 18 games. Agnes Emma-Nnpopu more than doubled her year-over scoring and rebounding per game averages to 10.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, respectively, and Una Jovanovic concluded the season ranked second in the Big 12 in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.11) through Jackson's influence.

Oregon (2018-20)
Jackson teamed up with Campbell to lead her alma mater to its greatest era. She and Campbell had the Ducks on the precipice of a national championship run in 2019-2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. The Ducks finished the regular season with a 31-2 overall record and swept the Pac-12 regular season and tournament championships. Her first year with Campbell saw Oregon claim its second-of-three Pac-12 regular season titles and notch its first-ever Final Four appearance.
She worked closely with five WNBA draft picks during her second tour of duty in Eugene, including Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally, the top-two picks in the 2020 draft, and Maite Cazorla, the 23rd overall pick in 2019.
