Garry Christopher is in third season as associate head coach for human performance at TCU.

Christopher oversees all athletic performance-related efforts for the TCU men’s basketball program, including strength and conditioning as well as individualized training programs. He also worked closely with the medical teams on development rehabilitation plans.
In Christopher’s first two seasons, the Horned Frogs conditioning helped them lead the nation in fast break scoring in back-to-back years. He helped develop two NBA players in Damion Baugh and Emanuel Miller who both went undrafted before landing on rosters in the 2024-25 season.
Prior to TCU, Christopher assumed the same role at Pitt for five seasons. He also spent three seasons at Vanderbilt as the strength and conditioning coach for the men’s basketball program. During his time in Nashville, he helped mold three current NBA players in Damian Jones, Wade Baldwin and Luke Kornet. Baldwin and Jones were both first round selections in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Prior to his time at Vanderbilt, Christopher spent one season at Purdue working with the Boilermaker athletic department as a sports performance assistant. He oversaw the sports performance program for softball and women’s tennis, while assisting with the men’s basketball program.
Christopher previously served as a volunteer graduate assistant in the strength and conditioning department at San Diego State. He was also a strength and conditioning intern at the Rehab United Sports Performance and Physical Therapy Center in San Diego, while simultaneously serving as head strength and conditioning coach at Lincoln High School.
He is also a USAW sport performance coach and has CSCS certification.
Christopher received a bachelor’s degree in health and human performance from Baylor in 2008 and a Master’s in kinesiology from San Diego State in 2011. While working toward his Master’s, Christopher served as an instructor of musculoskeletal fitness and an instructor for beginning and advanced students in weight training.
He played basketball at LeTourneau University during the 2003-04 season before transferring to Baylor.
