Frogs advance to the final site of the NCAA Tournament for the 11th consecutive season
FORT WORTH – TCU looked every bit the part of a contender for the NCAA Championship in its final home match of the 2026 season.
Squaring off with No. 18 Stanford, the sixth-seeded Horned Frogs pitched a perfect scoresheet, shutting out the Cardinal 4-0 in a Super Regional dual on Saturday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
TCU (24-5) did not surrender a single set in a match that took less than two hours to complete. Cosme Rolland De Ravel and Duncan Chan locked up the doubles point via a 6-2 win at the top. Rolland De Ravel later earned the match-clincher, as he took down Stanford's top-ranked player, No. 57 Alex Razeghi, 6-0, 6-3 at the 2-line Oliver Bonding and Albert Pedrico put TCU within a point of victory via wins on courts four and five.
The Horned Frogs notched their seventh straight quarterfinal appearance and 11th consecutive trip to the final site of the NCAA Tournament with the result. TCU has now reached the last eight of the postseason in 10 of the last 11 completed seasons dating back to 2015. No program in the country has more quarterfinal berths than TCU in that span.
With the win, TCU moves on to meet No. 3 Ohio State (32-4) on Thursday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia. The quarterfinal clash marks the fourth time in as many seasons the national powers will meet in a national championship event. TCU earned a 4-2 upset over the top-seeded Buckeyes in the semifinals of the 2024 NCAA Tournament in the teams' most recent meeting. TCU went on to capture its first-ever outdoor national title.
Saturday's result vs. the Cardinal (19-9) stretched TCU's winning streak to 11 matches. The Horned Frogs, ranked second nationally, have competed to a 16-1 record since the season shifted outdoors in March.
Stanford represented the 11th top-20 foe TCU has defeated in 2026.
The Horned Frogs have now blanked five straight opponents dating back to their Big 12 Tournament title triumph on April 17-18 in Orlando, Florida.
TCU stretched its NCAA-leading outdoor home winning streak to 33 matches. The Frogs finished unbeaten on the Bartzen Varsity Courts for the third straight season with the win. TCU is now 59-3 at home dating back to 2022.
Doubles Rundown
TCU quickly broke on all three courts, assuming 3-0 leads at the top and bottom and never looked back.
Chan and Rolland De Ravel, the ITA No. 4 ranked pair, won four straight games vs. Nico Godsick and Razeghi before serving out their match and the doubles point.
Pedrico and Cooper Woestendick got on the board first, coasting to a 6-3 decision vs. Samir Banerjee and Hudson Rivera in the second position.
Bonding and Maximus Dusssault left their match vs. Alex Chang and Jagger Leach level at four games all.
Chan and Rolland De Ravel improved to 21-2 as partners. The joint victory sent Chan to his team-leading 26th doubles win of 2025-26.
