Horned Frogs take down [6] Arizona and [3] Arizona State
TUCSON, Ariz. – After a slow start, the ninth-ranked and second-seeded TCU beach volleyball team stormed back to take victories over Arizona and Arizona State on Thursday at Bear Down Beach to advance to the Big 12 Semifinals.
MATCH ONE – [2] TCU 4, [6} Arizona 1
The Horned Frogs stormed back after a shaky start to take a 4-1 decision over Arizona on Friday morning.
Arizona took three of five first sets on their home court before TCU was able to regain footing and fight back.
TCU earned the only sweep of the match at flight 4, as Morgan Williams and Sofia Izuzquiza made quick work to earn the victory.
After Arizona gained a victory on 2, the Horned Frogs began to cook in its third sets, taking a win at 1 with Stacy Reeves and Anhelina Khmil to put TCU on the brink.
To clinch the match, Anna Long and Natalie Glenn overcame second set adversity to take the third set and give TCU a 1-0 record in pool play.

TCU flipped the script in match two and started fast to claim a 4-1 victory over Arizona State to win the pool.
The Horned Frogs took four of five first sets in the victory, and earned sweeps on three courts.
Opening up the sweeps were Elea Beutel and Kaitlyn Bradley, who made quick work at No. 2 to give TCU an early lead. Following closely behind were the freshman duo of Hannah Taylor and Melina Mol who took the win at Flight 5.
After Arizona State earned a sweep at 3, TCU's No. 1 pair of Stacy Reeves and Anhelina Khmil took a sweep to clinch the match for the second-seeded Frogs.
