
Sixth-Ranked Horned Frogs Take Down FGCU to Close Out TCU Invitational

Second match against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi canceled due to weather
FORT WORTH – On a stormy day in Fort Worth, sixth-ranked TCU Beach Volleyball was able to defeat FGCU in its first match of the day before the second match was canceled due to weather.
After the first few points in the second match, lightning struck in the area and caused a delay and eventual cancellation against the Islanders.
Due to weather, the matches were played to clinch, not to completion.
MATCH ONE – TCU 3, Florida Gulf Coast 0
After being delayed for an hour in the morning, TCU and FGCU finally got going for their third meeting of the season.
Opening things up for the Frogs at No. 5 was Olivia Clines and Morgan Williams, who earned a straight-set sweep to put the Frogs up 1-0.
In a back-and-forth match on court four, Hallie Corinne Frist and Marcela Mattoso went to three sets before the Frogs were victorious to get TCU one point away from the clinch.
Elea Beutel and Adriana Serrano Ferro were able to clinch the matches for the Frogs at No. 2, going 21-16 and 21-18 for the victory.
