Third straight match that came down to last court
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – For the third straight match the sixth-ranked TCU beach volleyball team lost in three sets on the final court, falling to No. 3 USC on. Tuesday morning at Pompano Beach Pier.
TCU won at four and five in three sets, but couldn't get an elusive third court in the loss.
The match opened with USC winning at two and three to open up a 2-0 lead by way of sweeps.
Once again, the Horned Frogs fought back starting with Deniela Konstantinova and Morgan Williams taking their match in three sets.
To tie the match, the freshmen Melina Mol and Hannah Taylor claimed a three-set thriller at Flight 5.
Immediately after, the No. 1 pair of Anhelina Khmil and Natalie Glenn fell in three sets to give USC the win.
To close out the trip to Pompano Beach, TCU swept Palm Beach State in an exhibition match.
