Fifth-ranked Horned Frogs blow by No. 12 Georgia 4-1 in Athens
ATHEHS, Ga. – The Horned Frogs polished off a three-match SEC road sweep with a 4-1 victory over No. 12 Georgia on Friday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
No. 5 TCU won the doubles point and promptly claimed five opening singles sets to leave the Bulldogs backpedaling. Cosme Rolland De Ravel, Oliver Bonding and Roger Pascual locked up the win with straight set victories on courts one, four and six.
TCU (11-4) faced off with Georgia (10-5) for the second time in 2026. The Horned Frogs overwhelmed the Bulldogs by an identical score on Jan. 26 in Fort Worth in a match that was contested as a part of ITA Kickoff Weekend.
The Frogs picked up their seventh ranked win of the dual season and fifth over a team presently featuring in the top 15 of the ITA rankings with the victory.
The triumph over Georgia put an exclamation mark on weeklong road swing that saw TCU triumph over No. 2 Texas and No. 22 Florida prior to Friday's dual.
TCU notched its third consecutive victory over the Bulldogs and first-ever win in Athens, the sight of the 2026 and 2027 NCAA D1 Men's Tennis Championships.
