No. 5 TCU rolls to 4-0 home shutout, notches fourth straight win
FORT WORTH – Playing its fourth match in eight days, No. 5 TCU showed no signs of weariness on Sunday.
The Horned Frogs shut out Texas Tech 4-0 at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center to open Big 12 play.
The match was moved indoors due to persistent wind gusts.
TCU (11-4, 1-0 Big 12) dropped just one set all dual. Duncan Chan and Cosme Rolland De Ravel, No. 8 in the ITA rankings, clinched the doubles point with a victory on court one. TCU then swept lines one, three and six in singles, with Cooper Woestendick, Albert Pedrico and Maximus Dussault putting victories on the board.
Dussault was the leading point scorer for the Frogs. He and fellow freshman Oliver Bonding claimed court three in doubles.
"The guys started Big 12 play with a 'W," said head coach David Roditi. "We had to go indoors because of a lot of wind, and the guys handled it really well after a road trip to the SEC. Really proud of them being ready to go. There were a lot of tight first sets and second sets. The Red Raiders, they were right there with us all the way until the end, and our guys responded really well. We get a little bit of rest here before we go on the road against Arizona State and Arizona. Tough road trip. Over 100 degrees there. We'll just take it one day at a time, enjoy the success here, get some rest, and keep battling."
TCU notched its 13th consecutive victory over the Red Raiders (9-7, 0-2 Big 12). The Horned Frogs widened their lead in the all-time series between the programs to 46-6.
The Frogs improved to 11-2 in Big 12 openers with the victory.
Sunday's result signified TCU's fifth shutout of the 2025-26 campaign and 46th since 2023.
TCU is now 52-2 at home over the last four seasons.
Doubles Rundown
TCU built 5-2 leads on all three courts and was never threatened.
Bonding and Dussault got off the court first via a 6-2 decision vs. Felipe Pacnacco and Thomas Van Den Dooren at the bottom.

Pedrico and Woestendick partnered together for the fourth time in as many matches on the 2-line. They were the first Frogs to break, as the sophomore pair procured a 3-1 lead vs. Sebastian Abboud and Tyler Stewart. Pedrico and Woestendick were serving for their match ahead 5-3 when play was halted.
Chan and Rolland De Ravel remain undefeated at 18-0 overall and 13-0 in duals. The duo debuted on court one in TCU's 4-1 takedown of then-No. 2 Texas on March 7 and have won all four of their matches as TCU's No. 1 doubles pair.
Bonding and Dussault picked up their first victory together since clinching the doubles point on the top court in TCU's season-opener vs. Abilene Christian on Jan. 11.
