First top-10 victory of the season for the Frogs
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Seventh-ranked TCU beach volleyball swept South Florida before taking down No. 6 Florida State in dramatic fashion to close out the Seminole Beach Bash undefeated on Saturday.
The Frogs (7-1) have now won seven consecutive matches and five straight against top-10 opponents.
MATCH ONE - No. 7 TCU 5, South Florida 0
In another early morning start for the Horned Frogs, TCU made quick work of South Florida in the first meeting between the two programs.
Things got moving fast for TCU, as Anna Long and Marcela Mattoso made quick work to give the Frogs a 1-0 advantage.
The fast run continued for the Frogs, claiming No. 5 (Melina Mol and Hannah Taylor) and No. 2 (Natalie Glenn and Sofia Izuzquiza) to clinch the match.
Just behind them was Anhelina Khmil and Stacy Reeves who earned the sweep to make it 4-0.
In the lone match that went to a third set, Elea Beutel and Adriana Serrano Ferro prevailed at Flight 3 to give TCU its third consecutive sweep.

In a thrilling finale on Saturday afternoon, TCU took down its first top-10 opponent of the season in No. 6 Florida State.
After TCU took four first sets, the Frogs fell behind early after Anhelina Khmil and Stacy Reeves got swept at No. 1.
TCU bounded right back, with Elea Beutel and Adriana Serrano Ferro taking a sweep at No. 3, and Melina Mol and Hannah Taylor winning at No. 5.
Flight's 2 and 4 would go to a third set, and the eyes of the match would turn there.
Coming in clutch, the No. 4 pair of Anna Long and Marcela Mattoso claimed a 15-10 win in set three to clinch the first signature win of the year for the Frogs.
