
No. 7 TCU Sweeps Tampa, FGCU to Open up Seminole Beach Bash

Frogs had to endure multiple weather delays in match one
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – On a rainy Friday morning in Tallahassee, the seventh-ranked TCU beach volleyball team made quick work of Tampa and Florida Gulf Coast to open up the Seminole Beach Bash.
TCU (5-1) opened up the day in a delay-ridden matchup with Tampa, but cruised once the match got into rhythm. The day continued for the Frogs against FGCU, and TCU made quick work of the Eagles.
Each match was played to clinch to ensure all scheduled matches on Friday could get played.
MATCH ONE - No. 7 TCU 3, Tampa 0
In the first match of the day, TCU overcame multiple weather delays to earn a sweep over Tampa (4-1).
After the first 10 minutes of the match, lightning struck in the Tallahassee area causing a lengthy delay. The teams would return briefly before being delayed again.
Once the weather had subsided, the Horned Frogs made quick work of the Spartans to earn their second consecutive sweep.
Opening up the scoring for TCU was Elea Beutel and Adriana Serrano Ferro, who made quick work at No. 4.
Quickly after the pair it was Natalie Glenn and Sofia Izuzquiza, taking the win at No. 2. To close out the victory for the Frogs, Anhelina Khmil and Stacy Reeves claimed the victory at the first flight.

The success continued flowing at No. 3, as Elea Beutel and Adriana Serrano Ferro also made quick work to advance the score to 2-0.
To close out the speedy match, Anna Long and Marcela Mattoso clinched it for the Frogs at Flight 5, a victory that included a 21-9 advantage in set one.
