2/26/2026 10:50:00 AM | Men's Indoor Track, Women's Indoor Track
LUBBOCK, Texas – TCU track and field is set for the 2026 Big 12 Indoor Championships hosted by Texas Tech from February 27-28 at the Sports Performance Center.
All 16 teams in the conference will come together to compete in the two-day championship meet. Last season, the women finished recorded their best team performance ever since joining the Big 12, finishing fifth with 55 points, and the men earned their highest result since 2021, finishing eighth with 45 points. Indya Mayberry swept the 60m and 200m sprints and was also named Women's High Point Performer. She looks to defend her titles this weekend.
This indoor season, TCU has seen a combined four school records fall. Ben Kirbo and Yannik Knobloch each improved their own program-leading marks in the pole vault and heptathlon, respectively, while Georgia Scott and Tia Williams added their names to the Horned Frogs' record book. Scott broke the mile record at the UW Invite last month and has multiple wins in the event and 800m this season. Williams dropped over a second off her previous PR to break a 16-year-old school record in the 400m.
Individually, the Frogs boast 16 top 10 times in the Big 12, including four in the top 25 nationally. Defending sprint champion, Mayberry ranks second in the 60m and 200m in the conference so far this season. Her teammate London Tucker also sits at No. 4 in the 60m and No. 7 in the long jump. Williams owns the second-best 400m among all Big 12 athletes this season with her 52.36, and she has the No. 6 600 yard mark as well. In the middle-distance ranks, Scott and Anastacia Gonzales both sit at the No. 9 spot in the mile and 1000m, respectively. Junior Amari Kiluvia has her sights set on a spot on the podium with the fifth best 60m hurdle time.
Ronnie Kendrick leads the men with the No. 2 400m (21.33) in the Big 12. TCU's pole vault duo of Kirbo and Michael McCloy rank sixth (5.45m) and ninth (5.10m), respectively. Middle distance runners Mohamed Kowa (800m, ninth) and Isaac Carney (600 yards, 10th) each boast top 10 times in their events. In the field, freshman Ashvin Balaramana owns the No. 8 high jump with a 2.13m clearance, and Knobloch ranks ninth in the heptathlon.
Friday's action features finals in the weight throw, pole vault, long jump, high jump, 5k and DMR, as well as the prelim rounds for the sprint and middle-distance races. The top eight athletes in each event will advance to the finals on Saturday.
