Fourth consecutive season TCU begins the season in the top-five
LEXINGTON, Ky. – On Tuesday afternoon the American Collegiate Volleyball Association (AVCA) announced its preseason collegiate beach poll which featured defending National Champion TCU coming in at No. 5.
This marks the fourth consecutive season the Horned Frogs have begun the season in the top-five, the fifth straight year in the top-10 and the ninth year in the row that TCU has been included in the preseason rankings.
TCU has been in the top-10 in 59 consecutive editions of the poll, and the Frogs have ranked in each of the last 74 releases of the poll.
Two other Big 12 schools earned a spot in the poll, with Florida State coming in at eight and Arizona State being ranked No. 11.
The season begins for the Horned Frogs on Friday at the Canyon Classic in Phoenix. TCU is set to face No. 11 Arizona State, No. 13 Grand Canyon, Arizona and UC Davis during its weekend trip to the Desert.
The Horned Frogs enter the 2026 campaign riding a 12-match winning streak, 60-match home winning streak and with a 42-0 record against teams from the state of Texas.
TCU is looking to continue the positive momentum from its incredible 2025 season, which saw the Horned Frogs win the program's first ever National Championship. In addition, the Frogs claimed the inaugural Big 12 Championship, marking the third consecutive conference crown for the program.

This decade, the Horned Frogs are averaging almost 33 wins per season (excluding the COVID-shortened season in 2020).
