Averaging a career high 19.3 points, 7.7 assists and 7.5 rebounds per game
FORT WORTH – Olivia Miles added another accolade to her ever-growing acumen, as she was named to the John R. Wooden Award Top 25 Midseason Watch List.
The honor marks the fourth straight season Miles has received midseason consideration for the Wooden Award, which is presented annually to the nation's top player by the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
The Top 25 Midseason Watch List is selected by a panel of national college basketball experts. The list will condense to a late-midseason top 20 in February before giving way to the Wooden Award national ballot in March, which features a final 15-player pool.
Miles is the fifth player in TCU program history to receive midseason Wooden Award consideration and third in the last two years. Hailey Van Lith and Sedona Prince both featured on the 2025 Wooden Award national ballot as did fellow All-American Sandora Irvin in 2005. Fellow All-American Helena Sverssdottir was recognized on the midseason watch list in 20011.
The New Jersey native is playing the basketball of her collegiate career as a Horned Frog. Miles is averaging career highs in points per game (19.3), assists per game (7.7), rebounds per game (7.5) and steals per game (2.1) while shooting 52 percent from the field. She has increased her scoring average to 24 points per game since the start of Big 12 play in December.
Miles is on pace to become the first men's or women's Division I player in the 21st century to average at least 19 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals per game in a season.
She most certainly enjoyed a December to remember. Miles posted four triple-doubles in a five-game stretch from Dec. 6-31. Miles joined 2020 Wooden Award winner Sabrina Ionescu as one of only two players in NCAA history to notch four triple-doubles in a single month. On top of that, Miles set the Big 12 single-season record in the category and moved to third outright in NCAA history for career triple-doubles (10).
Ahead of No. 13 TCU's tilt vs. Oklahoma State, Miles ranks fourth nationally in assists per game and total assists (116). She has finished with at least 15 points and five assists all but once. Miles ticked both boxes in TCU's first 12 contests to commence the 2025-26 campaign, the longest streak of 15-and-5 games to open a season by a Power Four conference player.
Miles is averaging 21.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and 8.8 assists per night over her last six games. She scored a career-high 31 points at Utah on Saturday in her most recent outing.
