Preview: UW Invite and Robert Platt Invitational

FORT WORTH – After a weekend off from competition due to winter weather, TCU track and field is back in action sending middle distance runners to Seattle for the UW Invite and sprinters and distance athletes to Houston for the Robert Platt Invitational Jan. 30-31.
Heading up to the Evergreen State, eight Frogs are set to race at the UW Invite at the Dempsey Indoor Track. Georgia Scott headlines the group after the junior won both the 800m and mile at the Corky Classic on Jan. 17 in Lubbock, Texas. The junior will race both events again this weekend against some of the top competition in the country.
Staying in the Lone Star State, a group of 30 Frogs will make this trip down to Houston. Added to the schedule late due to last weekend's winter weather, TCU will take advantage of another opportunity to race. Among those to watch at the Robert Platt Invitational are reigning indoor 200m National Champion Indya Mayberry, who is set to make her indoor season debut, and London Tucker, who boasts the No. 21 60m time in the nation this season.
