
Rifle Closes Out Perfect Weekend at Home

FORT WORTH – For the second straight day, No. 4 TCU rifle turned in a solid team score, once again topping Ohio State 4,738-4,693 on Monday afternoon at the TCU Rifle Range.
The Horned Frogs left no doubt, posting eight of the top 10 individual aggregate scores in the match. Atop the leaderboard was Katie Zaun, Christina Hillinger and Rylie Passmore all with marks of 1,185. For Passmore, it tied her career-best day on the range which she set earlier this season. Alexandra Rosenlew and Ziva Swick also fired over the 1,180 mark to contribute to the team's overall score. They were fourth (1,182) and fifth (1,180), respectively.
Passmore led a very balanced smallbore for TCU with a 590. Zaun followed with a 589, and Rosenlew and Hillinger rounded out the team scoring with a pair of 588s. As a team, the Frogs finished with an impressive 2,355.
In air rifle, the top 10 individual shooters were in purple, all firing marks of 590 or better. Hillinger led the way with a 597, which included 30 straight 10s to close out her 60 shots in the discipline. Zaun and Fedora followed with identical scores of 596, and Rosenlew capped off the team's 2,383 mark with a 594. Kenzie Kring also ended with a match-high 597, although her score did not factor into the team's total.
Ohio State improved their score from the previous match, posting a 4,693 that featured a 2,337 in smallbore and a 2,356 in air rifle.
The Frogs gear up for a trip to Fairbanks, Alaska, to take on the Nanooks and UT Martin on Jan. 24-25.
