Frogs get two more athletes on the podium on Day 2
LAWRENCE, Kan. – TCU's Elise Dobson and Coulaj Eans earned podium finishes and six Horned Frogs punched their tickets to finals on Day Two of the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Rock Chalk Park.
Competing in the men's long jump, Eans recorded a new season best of 7.51m (24-7 ¾) with a 1.0 headwind to win bronze in the event. He added six points to the men's team total, giving TCU 16 points (10th overall).
Elise Dobson wrapped up the heptathlon in fourth place, breaking the school record with a personal best 5338 points. She moved up one spot from Thursday's standings thanks to a third place result in the javelin throw (36.42) and sixth place 800m (2:21.20).
On the track, Amari Kiluvia secured her spot in the 100m hurdles finals, finishing with the fourth fastest time in the prelims (13.23). She is now the second fastest Frog in school history in the event, trailing only Brianna McGhee (12.88, 2016).
In the 800m, 2025 Big 12 Indoor Champion Llyod Frilot ran the fifth fastest qualifying time (1:47.78) to move on to Saturday's final. True freshman Ronnie Kendrick threw down the 10th fastest 400m time in school history with a 45.75 to grab the No. 3 spot heading into the event final.
TCU's sprint trio all moved on to the final in the 100m dash. Iyana Gray led the way with an 11.56, followed by London Tucker (11.59) and Indya Mayberry (11.62).
The Frogs close out action at the Big 12 Championship on Saturday, May 17.
