Horned Frogs draw Notre Dame in NCAA Regional Semifinals

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – No. 2 seed TCU rematches No. 3 seed Notre Dame in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament at noon on Saturday at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Ala.

TCU is making its first Sweet 16 appearance in school history.
The Horned Frogs' 76-68 victory over then-No. 3 Notre Dame in the Cayman Islands Classic on Nov. 29 is tied for the highest-ranked win in program history.
TCU erased a 14-point deficit over the final 13 minutes of the game in its comeback victory over the Fighting Irish. The Frogs trailed 53-39 with 3:03 to go in the third quarter and were down 11 entering the final frame. TCU outscored the Irish 31-12 over the game's final 10 minutes.
TCU and Notre Dame each own eight victories over AP Top 25 teams, which are tied for the fifth-most of any team in the country.
TCU is 12-3 vs. NCAA Tournament participants and 8-2 in 'ranked vs. ranked' battles.
The Frogs are 6-0 in rematches this season.

TCU scored 74 points per game vs. Big 12 opposition after averaging 62.2 in 2023-24. The +11.8 points per game increase in league play was the sixth-largest in all of Division I basketball.
TCU's eight senior or graduate level players average 63.6 combined points per game. The net senior scoring average ranks seventh among all D1 programs and first at the Power Conference level.
The Horned Frogs are one of only two teams in Big 12 history to capture a league title within two seasons of finishing in last place.

The Big Three

Hailey Van Lith (17.7 ppg), Sedona Prince (17.5 ppg) and Madison Conner (14.6 ppg) are the third-highest scoring trio in the nation at 49.8 points per game. They are also one of just three triads averaging at least 14.5 points per game.
Van Lith, Prince and Conner average a combined 49.2 points per game. Prince and Van Lith both average better than 18 per night vs. AP Top 25 foes.
Prince, Van Lith and Conner have all scored in double figures in 20 of TCU's 36 games.
The trio has teamed up to score 60-plus in eight games.
Van Lith and Prince are the third-highest scoring duo in America at 35.2 combined points per game.
Van Lith, Prince and Conner combine to make TCU one of just two teams alongside LSU with three 500-point scorers.

Madison Conner

Conner leads the country in 3-pointers (125) and ranks 3-pointers per game (3.5).
Conner is six threes away from matching Taylor Robertson's 2019-20 Big 12 single-season record (131).
Conner has drained four-or-more 3-pointers in an NCAA-leading 19 games.
Conner is on pace to become the third player in Big 12 history to finish as the NCAA leader in threes.
Conner ranks seventh in the country in 3-point percentage (.456). She is the only D1 players ranking in the top 10 in 3-pointers, 3-pointers per game and 3-point percentage.
Conner's career 3-point percentage (.420) is the best in program history.
Conner is one of only two Horned Frogs to score 500-plus points in back-to-back seasons. The other is TCU all-time leading scorer Lauren Heard, who achieved the feat consecutively in 2019-20 and 2020-21.

Mark Campbell

Campbell is one of four finalists for the Naismith Women's College Coach of the Year award.
Campbell is the only coach in contention for Naismith Coach of the Year who has spent fewer than five years on the sidelines in a head coaching capacity.
Campbell is the first coach in the history of the Big 12 to garner Conference Coach of the Year honors within two seasons of joining the league.
Campbell is one of only two head coaches in the NCAA Tournament to win 30 games within two seasons of taking over his/her respective program.
