Archer, Hendrix, Roberson, Williams and Volpe to attend National Team Open Program
FORT WORTH – TCU volleyball will be well represented at the 2025 USA Volleyball Women's National Team Open Program Feb. 21-23 in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center.
The Horned Frogs are sending four members from their 2025 roster, Rosemary Archer, Evan Hendrix, Alexis Roberson and Alice Volpe, to train and compete with some of the top collegiate and professional volleyball players in the nation as well as Head Coach Jason Williams as an evaluator and coach.
Archer, a setter, arrived in Funky Town this offseason after playing two seasons at Pepperdine, where she recorded over 1,000 assists, 250 digs, 41 blocks and 33 aces. A rising junior, she had a massive 2024 season, ranking 98th nationally with 970 assists on the year while helping lead the Waves to a 17-11 record. Archer is no stranger to the National Team Development Program, having attended in 2021.
Hendrix, an outside hitter, started seven matches and appeared in 25 contests in her rookie season last year. A spark off the bench for the Frogs, she recorded 96 kills on a .240 clip, including double-digit kills in three matches. Hendrix previously attended the National Team Development Program in 2021, 2022 and 2024.
Roberson, a middle blocker, started all 30 matches this past season for TCU and was one of three Horned Frogs to play in all 113 sets. The Missouri City, Texas, product racked up 121 kills on a .272 clip and totaled 77 blocks.
Volpe, a libero, wrapped up her first season of collegiate volleyball in December 2024 with All-Big 12 Rookie Team honors. As a true freshman, the Cypress, Texas, native appeared in all 28 matches for the Frogs, tallying 282 digs, the most by a TCU freshman since 2017. Volpe has participated in the National Team Development Program in 2023 and 2024
The WNT Open Program is a development opportunity used for selection to both the U.S. Women's National Team and age-group national teams of USA Volleyball's National Team Development Program (NTDP). This year, members of the U.S. Women's National Team will compete in the following events: Volleyball Nations League, Pan American Cup and NORCECA Final Six.
The 2025 age-group national teams to be organized by the NTDP include Women's U21 and Girls U19 competing at their respective Pan American Cups and FIVB World Championships. The NTDP will also organize a Women's U23 National Team that will train and compete at an international event in lieu of the Women's Collegiate National Team.
