COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – TCU volleyball's Alice Volpe was selected by USA Volleyball to attend its 2026 Women's National Team Collegiate Training from February 19-22 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
Volpe wrapped up her sophomore campaign leading the team with 476 digs, the eighth most in a single season in school history and second most by a sophomore. One of the top liberos in the Big 12 conference, she averaged 3.90 digs per set and tallied double-digit digs in 29 of the Frogs' 32 matches, including the final 19 of the season. The Cypress, Texas, native registered a career-best 24 digs in the TCU's regular season finale at Houston (Nov. 29) and 23 digs in the win over Wyoming (Sept. 11), the third most in a three-set match in TCU history. Volpe also added 153 assists and 23 aces over the course of the year.
The three-day training will bring together 62 athletes representing 20 USA Volleyball regions, with participants from 29 NCAA Division I universities. The Women's National Team Collegiate Training (WNTCT) serves as a high-level development opportunity, allowing athletes to train and compete in a national team environment while being assessed by Women's National Team staff.
Women's National Team head coach Erik Sullivan will lead the training alongside assistant coach Brandon Taliaferro. The staff also includes Women's National Team strength coach Shannon Boone, athletic trainer Kara Kessans, and performance analyst Nate Ngo.
In addition to on-court training, athletes will participate in professional volleyball presentations from Athletes Unlimited, Major League Volleyball, and League One Volleyball, providing insight into professional pathways available following their collegiate careers.
