No. 8 TCU hosts Miners in collision of undefeated teams
FORT WORTH – Schollmaier Arena will host a battle of the unbeatens on Saturday when No. 8 TCU welcomes UTEP to Walsh Family Court for a 1 p.m. tip.
The Horned Frogs (9-0) and Miners (7-0) are two of 19 remaining undefeated teams across the Division I ranks.
TCU has won 40 straight nonleague affairs at home.
Saturday's ballgame will be UTEP's first tilt opposite a Power Conference team.

- TCU's 30-game home winning streak is the second-longest in college basketball.
- Dating back to TCU's 63-42 win vs. Texas Tech on Feb. 19, 17 of the Frogs' last 22 wins have been by double figures, including all 11 home games in that span.
- The Horned Frogs and Miners are two of 19 remaining unbeaten teams in Division I.
- UTEP and TCU are two of the top rebounding teams in college basketball. The Miners are sixth nationally in rebounds per game (47.9) while TCU ranks 20th (44.6 rpg).

- TCU's Marta Suarez, Olivia Miles and Donovyn Hunter are the nation's third highest-scoring trio. They collectively are averaging 51.9 points per game. Only Western Illinois and Murray State have a higher-scoring trifecta than TCU.
- Suarez (19.2 ppg), Miles (18 ppg) and Hunter (14.7 ppg) are one of only five threesomes all averaging at least 14.5 points per game.
- The TCU teammate trio has combined to score 50-plus in seven of TCU's nine wins. All three players have reached double figures eight times.
- Hunter and Suarez boast respective 3-point percentages of .439 and .418. They make TCU one of only four teams with two players shooting it better than 40 percent from distance with at least 20 threes to their names.

- The New Jersey native leads all active D1 players in career 15-point, five-assist games with 39. The next-closest player is Texas A&M's Ny'Ceara Pryor (34).
- Miles is the only player in college basketball averaging at least 15 points, seven assists and six rebounds per game.
- Miles ranks second nationally in career assists (711).
- Miles is the active D1 leader in career assists per game average (6.5) and triple doubles (six). She is also the lone D1 player with at least 25 career double-doubles and five triple-doubles.
- Miles is connecting at a 57 percent clip (34-60) from the floor in home games.
- Suarez is one of only two players 6-3-or-taller to score 15-plus on eight occasions this season. The other is Iowa State's Audi Crooks.

- Suarez is the only men's or women's player who has competed in four Power Conferences when including the Pac-12. She played in both the Pac-12 and ACC at Cal and spent two years in the SEC with Tennessee.
- Along with Suarez, Hunter is one of only eight players in the nation averaging at least 13 points and 2.5 threes per game while connecting above a 50 percent clip from the field and 40 percent from deep.
- Hunter has scored in double figures in all nine games for the Frogs. Prior to this season, she had notched 11 games with at least 10 points in her career.
- Hunter is averaging 16.1 points per game at home over her last seven outings at Schollmaier Arena.
- TCU's lone junior, Hunter leads TCU in 3-pointers (25) and 3-point percentage (.439). Last season, Hunter made 32 threes and shot it 34 percent from distance.
- Hunter permanently returned to TCU's starting lineup on Feb. 19 at Arizona State and has since earned 20 straight starting nods. Since then, Hunter has doubled her scoring average. She is tallying 11 points per game in that span, compared to 5.2 per game before rejoining TCU's starting five.
- The 5-10 graduate leads the Big 12 and ranks second among all Division I players in assist-to-turnover ratio (4.3). The only player with a better assist-to-turnover ratio is UConn's Sarah Strong (4.6).
- Scherr has posted an assist-to-turnover ratio of 7.33 over TCU's last five victories, dishing out 22 dimes against just three giveaways.
- Scherr finished with a TCU career-high eight assists on Wednesday vs. Incarnate Word. She turned it over just once and racked up five assists over the first 12 minutes of the ballgame.
- Scherr is averaging five assists per game inside Schollmaier Arena. Only Olivia Miles (7.7 apg) has a better assist per game average at home among TCU players.
- Scherr has 22 career 5-5-5 games to her name.
