
Harding Named to Big 12 Starting Five

Junior guard earns first Big 12 recognition
FORT WORTH – Junior guard Brock Harding was named to the Big 12 Starting Five on Monday following his MVP performance at the Rady Children's Invitational.
Harding averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 3.0 steals in wins over No. 10 Florida and Wisconsin in San Diego, Calif.
Harding scored a season-high 19 points and tied a career high with 12 assists in the 84-80 win over the Gators on Thursday. He also made a career-high seven free throws and tied a career high with five steals. In the championship game, the Iowa transfer scored 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range. Harding added four blocks and five assists in the 74-63 win over Wisconsin.
The four others named to the Big 12 Starting Five were player of the week Joshua Jefferson (Iowa State), newcomer of the week Moe Odum (Arizona State), Flory Bidunga (Kansas) and Cameron Carr (Baylor).
Harding and the Horned Frogs will return to action on Friday at 7 p.m. when they host Notre Dame.
