
TCU Falls to No. 6 Michigan, 67-63

Harding leads Frogs in points, rebounds and assists
FORT WORTH – After leading for the majority of the game, TCU fell to No. 6 Michigan, 67-63, in front of an announced crowd of 6,426 inside Schollmaier Arena on Friday.
In what was the highest ranked nonconference opponent to visit Schollmaier Arena since No. 1 Kansas in 2003, the Horned Frogs (2-2) were ready from the opening tip.
A 3-pointer by Micah Robinson, who finished with 12 points, gave TCU its largest lead of the game, 18-8 with 11:45 remaining in the first half. The Horned Frogs built the lead with defense, forcing the Wolverines (3-0) into seven turnovers in the first six minutes and eight seconds in the game. Michigan finished with 22 turnovers for the game compared to TCU's 11.
The difference in the game was with rebounding. Michigan, the fifth tallest team in the NCAA, outrebounded TCU, 44-23.
After leading 35-33 at halftime, TCU built its second half lead to six points, 49-43, after a 3-pointer by Tanner Toolson with 11:45 to play. The Wolverines did not take a lead in the second half until a 3-point play by Trey McKenney gave Michigan a 52-51 advantage with 6:24 remaining.
Michigan went 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the final 1:12 of the game to diminish TCU's comeback hopes. The Wolverines held the Frogs to 37.1 percent from the field.
TCU junior Brock Harding led the team in points with 15, rebounds with six and assists with four. He also had three of TCU's 11 steals.
The Frogs will return to action on Wednesday when they host Kansas City at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
- Brock Harding led TCU in points (15), rebounds (6) and assists (4). He has led TCU in assists in all four games.
- Harding was 7-of-14 from the field. It was two more than the five made field goals he had prior to the game.
- Micah Robinson scored in double-figures for the fourth-straight game with 10 points.
- Robinson was 2-of-3 from 3-point range. It was his fourth-straight game with a made 3-pointer.
- Tanner Toolson scored in double-figures for the second time this season with 10 points off the bench.
