Horned Frogs open NCAA Tournament play against the Tigers

FORT WORTH – Tabbed as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, the TCU women's soccer team is set to host Grambling State in the NCAA Tournament First Round on Friday at 7 p.m. at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

TCU NOTABLES

TCU has made nine of the last 10 NCAA Tournaments and is set to host the First Round for the sixth time.
TCU is 5-3 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament (incl. 2020).
TCU is 7-7-2 overall in the NCAA Tournament, earning four of those wins in Fort Worth.
TCU has won the Big 12 regular season title in back-to-back seasons and four times in the past six years.

Seven Castain is TCU's top goal scorer, having 12 goals on the year with four of those being game-winning goals.
Cameron Patton leads TCU with seven assists.
TCU has earned three wins over top-15 opponents this season, defeating No. 9 Iowa, No. 10 Baylor and No. 14 Kansas.
TCU is one of eight Big 12 programs to make the NCAA Tournament, joining the likes of Baylor, BYU Colorado, Kansas, Texas Tech, UCF and West Virginia.
Olivia Geller has played the most matches in goal for TCU this season, securing 13 starts including the last seven matches. She's posted 38 saves on the year and a GAA of 0.98.
Highly touted transfer Katana Norman made her TCU debut against Kansas State and has played in every match since and starred on the defensive side of the ball.
