Frog Pairs Finish Fourth, 21st at AVCA Pairs National Championships

Anhelina Khmil and Natalie Glenn lead the way in fourth
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – For the fourth consecutive season, TCU advanced a pair to semifinals at the AVCA Pairs National Championships in Huntsville.

After winning their first four matchups as the No. 7 overall seed, including one over the No. 2 seed from Stanford, Anhelina Khmil and Natalie Glenn advanced to the semifinals of the Pairs National Championships.

In the semis, they battled in a hotly contested matchup with the No. 6 seed from UCLA, splitting the first two sets by scores of 19-21 and 21-18. However, in the decisive third set, the Bruin pair bested the Frogs.

In the third-place match, the Frogs fell to the No. 1 overall seed from Cal Poly to finish fourth at the national tournament.

The other TCU pair at the event, Sofia Izuzquiza and Stacy Reeves, were seeded at No. 15 and placed tied for 21st alongside No. 12 USC. The two went 3-2 for the weekend.

The tournament marked the last fall tournament for the Frogs, who now turn their focus to the beginning of the regular season in February.
