Horned Frogs open 2025 indoor campaign at Texas Tech
LUBBOCK, Texas – TCU track and field kicks off the 2025 season at the Corky Classic at 3 p.m. CT on Friday, Jan. 17, at the Sports Performance Center Indoor Track on the campus of Texas Tech.
Waiting an extra week to get their season underway after a winter storm forced TCU to not compete at the McFerrin 12 Degree Invitational, the Horned Frogs look to get off to a strong start in 2025.
TCU returns six athletes who advanced to the NCAA Championships last year. The Frogs also saw 12 program records fall during the 2024 indoor and outdoor season.
On the track, Iyana Gray emerged as a national standout in the sprints. She earned Second Team All-American honors in both indoor and outdoor competitions and was named High Point Performer at the Big 12 Championships after winning three silver medals in the sprints. Kashie Crockett also garnered Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 200m at the NCAA Championships. TCU also saw great success in its relays, as the women's 4x100 relay secured Second Team All-American honors, and the men's squad finished sixth at the Big 12 Championships.
Fresh off one of the best cross country seasons in school history, TCU's Distance Frogs, led by Graydon Morris and Tabitha Ngao, are ready to take their talents to the track. Morris earned All-South Central Regional Team Honors and helped the men earn four first place team finishes in the fall. Ngao anchored the women, winning the first two meets of the season and earning Big 12 Runner of the Week honors.
In field events, Emma Seetoo returns for her senior campaign after leaping her way to medals in the long jump at the Big 12 Indoor (sixth) and Outdoor (seventh) Championships last season. Pole vaulters Benjamin Kirbo and Quinn Calhoun are also back for the Frogs after record-breaking seasons.
A total of 15 athletes are set to make their TCU track and field debuts this weekend at the Corky Classic. The Frogs welcomed key transfers Sanjay Salmon and Edwin Nyamutswa, along with some of the top high school talent in the nation.
