Tournament returns to Colonial on Monday and Tuesday
FORT WORTH – TCU returns home to host one of the top tournaments, the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 at Colonial Country Club.
The 15-team field includes five of the top seven and 11 of the nation's top 25 teams according to Golf Channel's Preseason Poll. Last season's event was held at Shady Oaks Country Club due to the course redesign at Colonial.
TCU will go with the lineup of Scott Roden, Jack Beauchamp, Charlie Wylie, Ethan Dial and Aidan Dortch. Roden has led the Horned Frogs in each of their first two tournaments.
The tournament will consist of a 36-hole day on Monday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday with tee times as early as 8 a.m.
Admission and parking are free. Due to construction at Colonial, patrons are encouraged to park at TCU in Lot 4 and take the shuttle to Colonial, which runs every 10 minutes.

THE COURSE – Par 70 | 7,289 yards
Colonial Country Club has hosted an annual PGA Tour event since 1946, the longest running non-major tour event to be held at the same venue. The club was started in 1936 and hosted the 1941 U.S. Open, the 1975 Tournament Players Championship and the 1991 U.S. Women's Open. The course sits along the bank of the Trinity River and is located less than a mile from the campus of TCU. During the 2023-24 season, Colonial was closed for course redesign but opened in time for the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge.

- Vanderbilt won last season's event at Shady Oaks Country Club. Vanderbilt's Cole Sherwood (-7) defeated world No. 1 Christo Lamprecht (-7) in a one-hole playoff.
- TCU opened this season with an eighth-place finish at the Sahalee Players Championship and was ninth at the Valero Texas Collegiate last week.
- Scott Roden and Charlie Wylie have made the TCU lineup in all three tournaments this season.
- Following the Ben Hogan, TCU will continue the season at Big 12 Match Play, Oct. 7-9 at the Clubs at Houston Oaks, in Hockley, Texas.
