TCU to Face South Carolina at Dickies Arena

Frogs will battle reigning NCAA champions at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8
FORT WORTH – TCU has a date with the defending national champions.
The Horned Frogs will face South Carolina on Sunday, Dec. 8 at Dickies Arena this upcoming season in the USLBM Coast to Coast Challenge featuring the Hoopfest Women's Basketball Classic. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. and the game will be televised on an ESPN Network.
"We are excited about the opportunity to play and compete against the defending national champions," said head coach Mark Campbell. "This will be the best team to ever come to Fort Worth for a nonconference game, and I know the crowd and atmosphere will be magical. Dickies Arena is a state-of-the-art venue and a perfect place to host a game like this."
The meeting marks the first-ever battle between TCU and South Carolina on the hardwood.
"We are extremely excited to bring Dawn Staley and the college women's basketball national champions, the South Carolina Gamecocks, to Fort Worth," said Glenn Smith, CEO of GS Global Sports. "I believe coach Campbell is building something special over at TCU and we expect a sold out crowd and an amazing game."
Last season, TCU nearly tripled its year-over win tally, finishing 21-12 overall after going 8-23 the season prior. The Horned Frogs broke seven school records, including 3-pointers (312) and season assist average (16.7), and notched their first postseason berth in five years. TCU returns eight letter winners from the 2023-24 squad, including All-Big 12 players Madison Conner and Sedona Prince. TCU also assembled an impact transfer class featuring Olympian Hailey Van Lith and guards Taylor Bigby (USC), Donovyn Hunter (Oregon State) and Maddie Scherr (Kentucky).
South Carolina finished a perfect 38-0 in 2023-24 on the way to capturing its third NCAA Championship and second in the last three years.
Tickets will be available for presale on Aug. 12 and released to the general public on Aug. 16. Fans can purchase tickets through the Dickies Arena box office.
