Hamlett/Khmil Awarded AVCA Top Flight Honors

Hailey Hamlett and Anhelina Khmil honored for season performance
FORT WORTH – The dynamic duo of Hailey Hamlett and Anhelina Khmil were awarded AVCA Top Flight honors for their performance from the No. 1 position this season. Individually, this is both Horned Frogs' first Top Flight honor.
Top Flight awards recognize excellence in collegiate beach volleyball from all over the country and across all flights. Eligible pairs must compete in at least 15 matches together at a specific flight number and win at least 75% of their matches—regardless of the overall result of the dual.
The 2023 AVCA Pairs National Champions have a 22-3 record together, the best of any pair from TCU this season. They started the season 15-0 from the No. 1 spot and have eight ranked wins on the year. According to collegebeachvb.com, the two are ranked No. 4 in Top NCAA Pairs/Players.
Both were named AVCA First-Team All-Americans. Hamlett has the most wins on the team (29-6) followed by Khmil at 28-7. The two were awarded CUSA Pair of the Week twice this season (Feb. 28, March 27) as well as AVCA Pair of the Week (March 25).
Together, the duo has clinched 13 matches for the Horned Frogs. At the CUSA Championship, the two posted a 3-0 record and clinched the match for TCU to earn its second title in program history. Both were named to the conference's All-Tournament team.
Hamlett and Khmil follow in the footsteps of last year's duos of Alvarez/Moreno and Brockett/Scott who earned Top Flight honors as well.
