No. 4 TCU Splits on Final Day of Death Volley Invitational TCU fell to No. 3 Stanford, ended the tournament with a win over No. 6 California

BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 4 TCU split on the final day of the Death Volley Invitational. The Horned Frogs fell to No. 3 Stanford (3-2) before finishing off the weekend with a 3-2 win over No. 6 Cal.

TCU's Hailey Hamlett and Sutton MacTavish had a perfect 2-0 day for the Frogs from the No. 1 position.

QUICK HITS AGAINST NO. 3 STANFORD
• With all pairs playing in one flight, Anhelina Khmil and Ana Vergara finished first for the Frogs from the No. 2 position: 18-21, 17-21.
• It was the duo's first showing together this season and the 11th in their career.
• Olivia Clines and Keagan Polk fell from the No. 5 position: 11-21, 19-21.
• From the No. 3 position, Anete Namike and Hallie Corinne Frist lost to Stanford's Belardi/Hoffman: 14-21, 15-21.
• Hailey Hamlett and Sutton MacTavish had a strong showing from the No. 1 position and defeated Stanford's Hodel/Rockwell in three sets: 14-21, 21-18, 16-14.
• Hamlett and MacTavish were one of two Horned Frog duos to complete the three-set comeback against No. 3 Stanford.
• It was the pairing's first appearance together this season.
• Tara Patton and Morgan Williams secured the second TCU point for the Horned Frogs from the No. 4 position: 18-21, 21-19, 21-19.
