TCU defeats Palm Beach Atlantic, falls to No. 1 USC

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 5 Horned Frogs split the final day of the FAU Beach Invitational – defeating Palm Beach Atlantic (4-1) and falling to No. 1 USC (4-1).

TCU went 3-1 at the FAU Beach Invitational. The Frogs improve their overall record to 14-2 this season.

QUICK HITS AGAINST PALM BEACH ATLANTIC
• Anete Namike and Tara Patton won the first point for the Frogs from the No. 4 position: 21-12, 21-10.
• The duo improved to 2-2 together this season.
• Namike earned her 10th win as a Horned Frog.
• Ana Vergara and Olivia Clines gave TCU a 2-0 lead with their win at No. 5: 21-9, 21-16.
• Clines who got her first career start against FGCU on Day One, improved to 2-0 through her first two starts.
• Vergara improved to 11-1 this season.
• Alex Parkhurst and Brooke Sheely were forced to medically forfeit their match on Court 2, giving Palm Beach Atlantic a point.
• The duo of Hailey Hamlett and Anhelina Khmil improved to 15-0 with their win from the No. 1 position: 21-9, 21-14.
• Josie Sek and Luana Araco scored the fourth and final point for the Frogs at No. 3: 21-19, 21-16.
• It was Sek's eighth win of the season and Araco's fourth.
• It was the duo's first career showing and win as a pairing.
• TCU is now 1-0 all-time against Palm Beach Atlantic.

• Ana Vergara and Anete Namike fell from the No. 4 spot: 16-21, 12-21.
• Keagan Polk and Olivia Clines lost from the No. 5 position: 10-21, 19-21.
• Josie Sek and Tara Patton lost to USC's Kriz/Seits from the No. 3 position: 15-21, 13-21.
• The duo of Sutton MacTavish and Alex Parkhurst won the first point for TCU at No. 2: 28-26, 21-17.
• The pairing are 10-0 this season and 7-0 when playing as the No. 2 pair.
• Hailey Hamlett and Anhelina Khmil suffered their first loss of the season at the No. 1 spot: 19-21, 21-18, 13-15.
• The duo is now 15-1 this season, all from the No. 1 position.
• TCU is now 1-7 against USC in all-time history.
