TCU hits the road for first conference match
FORT WORTH – The TCU women's tennis team (4-2) heads east to take on the No. 61 West Virginia Mountaineers (11-1) in first conference match of the season on Friday, March 1 at 4 p.m. CST at the Mountaineer Tennis Courts in Morgantown.

Frog Focus
TCU is off to a 4-2 start this spring with wins over Northwestern State, Rice, Incarnate Word and UTA. The Frogs will face their first conference matchup of the season in Morgantown. The last matchup coming from Feb. 25 in Baton Rouge, where the Tigers beat the Frogs 4-2
After dropping the doubles point to the Tigers, Chiho Mushika secured the first singles point. The graduate won in two sets on court six 6-4, 7-5 to stay undefeated this season (4-0). No. 116 Destinee Martins earned the second and final singles point of the afternoon for the Horned Frogs with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win on court three. With this win, the senior advanced to 3-1 in singles this season.
Jade Otway battled in her first match of the season on court one claiming the first set 7-6 after winning the tiebreak 7-2. The junior fell 6-3 in set two and the match was completed when she was down 1-0 in set three.
Scouting the Opposition
West Virginia is coming off a 6-1 win over Mount St. Mary's on Feb 24 in Morgantown. The Mountaineers are 11-1 on the season and 6-1 at home.
TCU leads the series against West Virginia, 12-0, with the last match being a 4-0 win for the Frogs on April 20, 2023.
