TCU competes at two meets this weekend
FORT WORTH – TCU track and field continues the regular season slate at two meets this weekend – the New Mexico Collegiate Classic (Feb. 2-3) in Albuquerque, N.M., and the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite (Feb. 3) in Boston.
The distance squad will head to the Scarlet & White Invite while the sprinters, jumpers, hurdlers and throwers compete at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic. TCU's two multi athletes, Elise Dobson and Joel McFarlane, will compete in their first multi of the indoor season in Albuquerque.

Last Time Out
TCU rewrote three school records at the Corky Classic (Jan. 19-20). Kicking off the first day of competition was Benjamin Kirbo who broke his own school record in the pole vault with his height of 5.20m (17-0.75).
Additionally, Tabitha Kalunde Ngao and Ryan Martin broke the school records in the 1000m. Ngao's time of 2:48.13 shattered the previous record of 2:52.89 that was set by Cindy Dietrich in 2001. On the men's side, Marin broke his own record with his time of 2:23.17.
Iyana Gray shined in the women's 200m as she clocked a 23.02 – the second fastest indoor time in TCU school history. The altitude-converted time of 23.09 ranks ninth in the NCAA this season.
In the women's 60m, Mikayla Hayes shined in her Horned Frog debut. She finished fourth overall with her time of 7.28, good for the second-fastest indoor time in program history.

2023 Recap
The Horned Frogs had a stellar outdoor season as they qualified 22 total entries for the NCAA West Preliminary and sent two entries to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Sydney Juszczyk won her first Big 12 Outdoor Championship in the javelin with her throw of 50.40m (165' 4").
Also highlighting the 2023 season was the crowning of two TCU champions at the Penn Relays. Iyana Gray won the Frogs' first ever championship in the women's 100m and the team of Ethan Brown, David Seete, Donnie James and Ryan Jordan brought home TCU's first 4x400 title since 2008.
