
2025 Beach Volleyball Schedule Announced

TCU will begin the 2025 spring season Feb. 18
FORT WORTH – Head coach Hector Gutierrez announced the 2025 beach volleyball schedule. The Horned Frogs will play in eight spring tournaments while hosting two at TCU's beach volleyball courts. Following the regular season, TCU's sand courts will host the first ever Big 12 Beach Volleyball Championship.
2025 is the first year for the conference to sponsor the sport. The Frogs join Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah as the first members.
"I think it's great news for TCU and for the sport," Head Coach Hector Guiterrez said on the conference tournament. "That was one of my visions when I got here nine years ago, and we are honored to host it."
Last season TCU ended No. 9 in the AVCA Coaches Poll with a CUSA Championship under their belt. Three Frogs received AVCA All-American recognition following the 2024 season: Hailey Hamlett (first team), Anhelina Khmil (first team) and Sutton MacTavish (second team). Hamlett and Khmil also received an additional AVCA Top Flight, Flight One accolade for their performance in the No. 1 spot.
The Horned Frogs' most winning-est pairing in program history, Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno, return to Fort Worth after placing fifth in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Maria Gonzalez also returns with her pro-beach partner Allanis Navas. Navas is a Division I transfer from GCU.
TCU welcomed five freshmen this school year: Elea Beutel, Deniela Konstantinova, Alex Kurz, Sofia Izuzquiza and Stacy Reeves.
The Frogs will begin season play at the University of Hawai'i in Honolulu, Hawaii Feb. 18-22. Along with the Rainbow Wahine, TCU is expected to challenge UCLA, Stanford and USC.
TCU starts out at home on March 7-8. The team will play against Boise State for the first time since 2021. Additionally, TCU will face off against familiar foes Texas, Florida State and FAU.
The Frogs then fly down to Pompano Beach, Fla., to compete at FAU on March 15-16, and the 18th. Possible opponents for the weekend include FAU, FGCU, GSU, Stetson, Tampa and UAB. TCU will stay on the road and travel to Baton Rouge, La. for the LSU tournament March 28-29. The Horned Frogs will challenge UCLA, Long Beach State, Stanford and USC.
TCU starts April with their first Big 12 headers in Tucson, Ariz. on April 4-5. The Frogs will go toe-to-toe with Pepperdine, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah. Then, The Frogs will head to the Center of Effort Challenge at San Luis Obispo, Cali on April 11-12, before heading back to Fort Worth. At the tournament hosted by Cal Poly, TCU is expected to challenge the Sun Devils again, along with LMU and UCLA.
The Frogs return home April 18-19, where TCU will host GCU, HCU, Missouri State and ULM.
After their last home tournament, TCU will become home to the first Big 12 Beach Volley Conference Championships April 23-25. Then the Frogs will head to the Golden State for the NCAA National Championships May 2-4 at Huntington Beach, Cali.
"We play the top teams in the country pretty much every other weekend and we're excited for the challenge," Gutierrez said.
