- The Classic relocated to Funky Town in 2018 ahead of TCU men's basketball head coach Jamie Dixon's third year helming his alma mater. The Frogs battled Army once more in the most recent playing of the event, defeating the Black Knights 88-51 on Nov. 19, 2023.
- Jamie Dixon had this to say ahead of the 2018 Maggie Dixon Classic between TCU and Army: "The first basketball Maggie probably remembers is watching me play at TCU. I was 17 when I came here, she was 5, so I'm sure she remembers going to watch the games at the local pizza parlor to watch on the satellite at the bar. It was the only way you could get them back in the day. ... This event is important to women's basketball. It's a premier game. It has name recognition and that's why we want to keep it going."
