
Horned Frogs Drain 16 Three-Pointers in Rout of New Orleans

Conner leads way with 30 points in 107-52 win
FORT WORTH – TCU engineered one of the finest offensive performances in program history on Sunday, routing New Orleans 107-52 inside Schollmaier Arena.
The Horned Frogs drained a Mark Campbell era record 16 three-pointers while shooting 49 percent (41-84) from the field. TCU maintained a lead of 20 points or greater for all-but-seven minutes of the nonconference tilt.
Nine of TCU's 3-pointers came via the right arm of Madison Conner. The sharpshooter poured in 30 points behind a 9-16 clip behind the arc.
All five starters scored in double figures to fuel the onslaught. Taylor Bigby and Sedona Prince collected 17 points apiece. Backcourt mates Donovyn Hunter and Hailey Van Lith each tallied 13.
TCU (2-0) delivered its first 100-point game since Dec. 10, 2017, in a 112-62 win over Southeastern Louisiana. The 107 points scored were the eighth-most in game in program history.
The Horned Frogs also set Campbell era records for field goals made, total rebounds (61), offensive boards (20) and margin of victory.
Conner's 30-piece was the fourth of her Horned Frog tenure. She tied TCU all-time leading scorer Lauren Heard for most 30-point games (4) in purple and white.
The senior also became the first Frog to drain nine-plus threes in multiple ballgames. Conner combined for 19 in back-to-back wins over Tulsa and Abilene Christian on Dec. 1-5, tying the NCAA record for most 3-pointers in consecutive games. She has now drained at least five deep balls on nine occasions in purple and white and 11 times in her career.
Prince and Van Lith finished with double-doubles.
Prince padded her final stat line 12 rebounds and five blocks. The double-double was the 14th of her two-year TCU tenure. She has reached double digits in scoring in all 23 of her career games played.
Van Lith matched Prince with a dozen boards and dished out a team-high six assists. Her 12 rebounds were a career-high.
Conner knocked down five 3-pointers before seven minutes had passed on the game clock, staking TCU to a 27-7 lead over the Privateers (0-2). TCU went 7-17 from distance in the opening frame. Aaliyah Roberson (nine rebounds, five points) and Van Lith contributed the remaining pair.
Bigby, Conner and Hunter all connected behind the arc in the second quarter to help stake TCU to a 56-25 halftime lead. Prince contributed seven points and got to the line twice in the frame.
Eight of TCU's 12 active players got on the scoreboard in the second half. Bigby scored 12 of her points to lead all players.
Conner's ninth triple arrived with 7:58 on the game clock and swelled the scoreboard to 90-42 in favor of the Frogs.
Bigby delivered TCU's 16th and final 3-pointer exactly four minutes later and pushed TCU past the century mark and to a 101-46 lead.
TCU outrebounded New Orleans 61-29. The plus-32 advantage on the glass was tied for the program's largest in a game in the Campbell era.
The Horned Frogs transformed 25 Privateer turnovers into 48 points. TCU is averaging 30.5 turnovers forced per outing one week into the 2024-25 campaign. The Frogs pestered Houston Christian into a school record 36 in Tuesday's season-opening 78-41 win.
TCU finished with 28 assists. Conner had out five while Bigby and Una Jovanovic dished out four each.
