Distance Frogs wrap up regular season in College Station
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Racing against over 40 teams, TCU cross country wraps up its regular season at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday, Oct. 18, at the Watts Cross Country Course.
It's been a season to remember for the Distance Frogs, who have had arguably their best season in program history. They look to continue the magic at Watts Cross Country course, where they will race for the second time this year. For the third straight meet, the men will race in the 8k discipline while the women gear up for their first 6k race of the season. The field includes the hosts Texas A&M, Arizona State, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma and Texas Tech, among others.
Ranked No. 5 in the South Central Regional rankings, the TCU men will race with their perfect season on the line. The Frogs have finished first as a team in all four races this season, most recently at the LA Tech Mook 4 Invitational. A strong roster led by the senior trio of Stone Burke, Graydon Morris and Noah Winters lead the men.
The women are sitting at No. 10 in the regional rankings and look close out their regular season on a high note. Sophomores Tabitha Ngao and Mckenzie Bailey have led the women all season, with Ngao picking up three individual wins through four races.
