Women's Tennis Hosts ITA Texas Regionals

The Frogs have the top two seeds in doubles for the first time in program history.
FORT WORTH - The Horned Frogs will host the ITA Texas Regional Championships at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center from Oct. 10-15.
"One of the many benefits of coaching and playing for TCU is the ability to host larger prestigious events at our Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center," said head coach Lee Taylor Walker. "To have every Division 1 program in Texas on campus this week is a remarkable opportunity to showcase our university and city. We love hosting ITA Regional Championships and look forward to showing our visiting teams great hospitality."
Five of the Frogs will appear in the event, competing in both singles and doubles. Raquel Caballero, Tomi Main, Isabel Pascual, Yu-Chin Tsai, and Jade Otway will be competing in the opening round of the singles main draw on Friday, Oct. 11.
For doubles, the pairings will be the top-seeded Otway and Pascual and the No. 2 seed Main and Tsai, who will both have first round byes. They will play their first match in the round of 32 on Friday, Oct. 11.
"Jade and Isa have put a lot of work in this year preparing for this moment and I'm excited to go for it this week," said Walker. "Yuki and Tomi have also come together in just six weeks to show they are capable of high-level doubles competition."
The Frogs begin play at 9:30 am CT tomorrow with Otway and Pascual taking the court first.

The 2024 ITA Women's Texas Regional Championship will have a draw size of the following, Singles: Qualifying (127), Main Draw (64) and Doubles: Main Draw (51).

Admission to the ITA Texas Regional Championships is free and parking is available in the main lot of the Bayard H. Freidman Tennis Center.
