The Horned Frogs end their 2023 campaign with their highest ever final ranking
FORT WORTH – TCU beach volleyball (37-3) ended its historic 2023 season ranked No. 3 in the final AVCA poll after advancing to the NCAA Semifinals. It's the highest ever end-of-season ranking for the Horned Frogs.
TCU sailed to many program highs this season, including the Frogs' first NCAA Final Four appearance in program history. The team claimed its first CCSA Conference Championship, defended a 36-match home winning streak dating back to 2020 and tallied 27 sweeps this season.
Collectively, the program earned 14 major accolades, highlighted by head coach Hector Gutierrez winning AVCA Coach of the year. Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno were also tabbed AVCA Pair of the Year after finishing the season with a near perfect 34-1 record. The duo earned AVCA First-Team All-America honors and AVCA Top-Flight honors for the third consecutive season.
Following the program's most successful season in program history, TCU will join Conference USA beginning in 2024.
