Former McDonald's All-American will join TCU for upcoming season
FORT WORTH – TCU head men's basketball coach Jamie Dixon announced the signing of Ernest Udeh Jr.
The 6-11 center spent the past season at Kansas where he averaged 8.3 minutes, 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. He shot 74.6 percent (34-of-45) from the field, including a KU record 21 consecutive makes over a span of 17 games.
Prior to KU, Udeh was a McDonald's All-American following his senior season at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Fla., where he averaged 13.1 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in 2021-22. He was ranked as high as No. 23 nationally according by ESPN100.
As a junior, Udeh recorded 10.1 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots per game and helped Dr. Phillips High School to a state title. He also played for Southeast Elite AAU Program in Florida.
Udeh joins newcomers Avery Anderson III, Isaiah Manning, Essam Mostafa, Jameer Nelson Jr., Jace Posey and Trevian Tennyson for the upcoming season.
